I’m Rafael Cosquiere, an international SEO specialist and digital marketing professional with a strong focus on businesses with global presence.
I trained as an industrial engineer at the University of Málaga, after spending a year studying software engineering, which already hinted at my pull towards the digital and technical side of things.
During university I interned at CGI, working on a project built around Java. That period helped me deepen my knowledge in Unix systems, databases, Git, frameworks and Scrum methodology.
I then joined BECO TREAT SYSTEMS ApS, taking on digital marketing responsibilities. In that first stage I immersed myself in WordPress and multilingual web development, which pushed me to build solid skills in frontend, backend and multilanguage management, always with SEO in mind. It was also during that period that I started my self-taught SEO journey: courses, blogs, reference resources, until I formalized that knowledge with the BigSEO Master’s in SEO, along with courses in Google Analytics, AdWords and related tools.
Throughout my career I have participated as a speaker and attendee at in-person events organized by Google and the WordPress community in Málaga.
Later, I joined BECOSAN as Marketing Manager, leading internal and external teams, defining and executing the commercial strategy, managing international expansion and solving operational challenges on a daily basis. In the final stage of my time at the company I was an active partner, contributing to key strategic decisions.
Today, although for personal reasons I am no longer part of the executive leadership, I continue leading BECOSAN’s SEO strategy from a strategic standpoint. I rely on experience-driven judgment for every decision in a constantly evolving digital landscape.
In an era where roles, skills and requirements shift fast, planning five years ahead is no easy task. My bet is to stay adaptable and maintain professional judgment for whatever comes next. Beyond that, other interests like programming, cybersecurity and Linux remain sources of curiosity that feed into my professional vision.
